Join The Magna Care Centre for their summer events

The Magna Care Centre will be holding two summer events this year, one on Friday 10th June to coincide with the Queens 90th birthday and National Care Home Open Day, and another on Saturday 2nd July. Families and friends of residents, alongside members of the local community are invited to attend both events which will be held in the grounds of The Magna, a stunning purpose-built Care Centre providing residential and specialist nursing care for up to 63 elderly residents.

On Friday 10th June, residents and guests will be celebrating the Queen’s birthday in the form of a birthday lunch and party. The Queen’s Church service will be played on a big screen for all to enjoy and there will be a buffet lunch from 12.15pm. The Magna will be decorated in all things royal and everyone is invited to get involved in The Queen themed games. Home Manager, Heidi Williams, will be happy to show guests around the home and let them know more about life at The Magna.

Join residents and staff in celebrating this special birthday from 10am on Friday 10th June.

On Saturday 2nd July, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a cream team afternoon from 2pm – 4pm. The Past Timers, musicians and entertainers will be on hand to play some old favourites and all proceeds to the band will be donated to Marie Curie. For those feeling lucky, there will be a raffle with some fantastic prizes and for those with a sweet tooth, an ice cream van will be present with plenty of choice.

The home invites anyone to join them for the afternoon, for an event that will be in sunshine – weather permitting! Home Manager, Heidi Williams, will be available to show visitors around the home and speak to them about life at The Magna.
