St Georges goes to India with Oomph!

In our latest Oomph! Wellness session at St Georges in Bristol, we all enjoyed a fabulous Indian experience where we played traditional Indian music and had a lot of fun dancing to ‘Bollywood’ music.

Some of our residents and members of our team contributed by arriving with precious items they had from India and in keeping with the theme, our Chef cooked up a delicious Indian feast.

Not only that but our Activities Coordinator, Helen set the scene with some amazing scenery she created especially for the session.

Our residents really enjoy our Oomph! Wellness sessions. Not only are they really fun but they provide such positive benefits as they help them to be more mobile, more social and more alert. It’s great to get our residents involved and we’re wondering where we will be going to next time on our ‘Round the World’ Oomph! Tour.

Terry Ford, Home Manager commented:
“Our residents love our Oomph! Sessions which are helping them to be active and most of all, have fun together.

” Everyone can get involved, it doesn’t matter about ability, this is a really inclusive activity which is enjoyed by so many. We always encourage friends and family to get involved and members of our team are always eager to join in too!”

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely
