Special birthday celebrations for 101st birthday at Abbeycrest

The staff at Abbeycrest were thrilled to be able to celebrate a very special birthday this week.

Resident Margaret Webb turned 101 and family and friends joined her for an afternoon of cake and reminiscing. Margaret was born in 1913, the same year that saw six people killed after the country’s worst ever tornado hit and also the year that Emily Davison became the suffragette movements’ greatest martyr after throwing herself into the path of a Kings Horse at Epsom.

Everyone had a lovely day and there wasn’t much left of the cake that the chef had made especially!

Located in the quiet village of Sonning Common, Abbeycrest offers exceptional residential, nursing and dementia care in the heart of the Chilterns.
