Songs of Praise at Tall Trees

Residents of Tall Trees and guests enjoyed their monthly Songs of Praise Service this week which was held on Monday afternoon.

This service is much loved by our residents and due to its popularity, the attendance is growing bigger every time.

Barbara K, one of our residents said:

“I am not a very religious person but I like to attend Songs of Praise because I love singing.”

They also listened to the Vicar’s readings from last Sunday’s service held at St Mary the Virgin, our local village church, which marked its 900th year in 2015 and plays a big part in local life in Shipton-under-Wychwood.

After the service, we all enjoyed a nice cup of tea and cake whilst playing a religious themed quiz game.

Roxana Scrobanet, Activities Coordinator said:

“It’s been a lovely afternoon and everybody had a great time. It’s very good for our residents to retain their interests and also enjoy new ones, as well as foster links with our local community.”
