Scrumdidilyumptious day at Hillview Court

There were strange goings on at Hillview Court Nursing Home in Sauchie recently as the home transformed into Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory for the day. The theme was chosen for the summer fete on Saturday 7th July and the home certainly didn’t disappoint!

Local Councillor Gary Wormsley officially opened the well-attended event at the purpose-built care centre, with entertainment provided by a pipe band and a disco. Traditional games were on offer including ‘splat the rat’ and ‘hook a duck.’

Everyone enjoyed the family fun day with children having their faces painted and heading for the bouncy castle. Whilst there was no lifetime supply of chocolate on offer, guests were kept well fed thanks to a barbeque, cake and candy stall and the home’s café.

The Wonka-themed day wouldn’t have been complete without a game of ‘find the golden ticket’ and the ‘scrumdidilyumptious’ chocolate fountain.

Hillview Manager, Kellymarie Jack (pictured with her Oompa Loompas) told us:

“We are so grateful to everyone who supported our summer fete, it was definitely our best one yet! Everyone at the home had a great time and we raised over £550, which will benefit our residents hugely.”

Located on the edge of the village of Sauchie in Clackmannanshire and enjoying wonderful views over open countryside, Hillview Court provides specialist residential and nursing care for individuals with dementia, learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries (Including alcohol related illnesses) and older people for up to 48 people throughout seven units.
