Scoonie House Host a Film Afternoon
Posted on Monday 8th February
Scoonie House hosted a film afternoon for the residents, watching Mrs Browns Boys.
The film afternoon was attended to by several of our residents who all had a wonderful afternoon with a well-deserved cup of tea and plenty of home baking.
Afterwards residents had a great time chatting about Mrs Browns Boys, laughter was high on the agenda!
Laughing with friends or watching 20 minutes of humour on TV, helps people cope with daily stress.’ People who are less stressed tend to have a better memory. This is because laughter increases the level of endorphins in the body which sends dopamine to the brain, providing a feeling of happiness and reward. This changes the activity of brain waves resulting in improved memory, the researchers say.
So We are looking forward to watching more comedy!
