Royal wedding celebrations at Galsworthy House

On the 29th of May, Galsworthy House Nursing Home hosted a Royal Wedding party for our residents, team and guests.

Our residents enjoyed getting into the wedding spirit in the run up to the big day and come the morning of the wedding, our home was full of an excited buzz and chatter. Residents helped the Activity team make our home look and feel like a venue fit for a Royal Wedding party and get everyone in the spirit.

The TV was turned on in preparation for the day’s event to unfold, residents watched Harry and Megan getting married with many residents and family members not being able to take there eyes away from the screen!

We all celebrated at supper time with a classic British menu of quiche, smoked salmon sandwiches and a variety of cakes, the chefs baked two beautiful three tiered wedding cakes, which everyone enjoyed whilst listening to soft classical music in the background.

A memorable afternoon was had by all!
