Residents enjoy an active Easter at Oaken Holt

Oaken Holt was a hive of activity this Easter as the residents turned their hands to both cooking and crafting as part of their annual celebrations.

Firstly, they fashioned a number of Easter bonnets, using little Easter chicks and straw for them to nest in. The residents spent a pleasant couple of hours decorating the bonnets with bows and feathers before modeling them proudly for the staff team.

The staff and residents then spent time making traditional Easter ‘nest cakes’, by mixing melted chocolate with cornflakes and decorating with mini eggs.

The quick and easy recipe was delicious and there were plenty of takers when it came to tucking into the tasty treats in the afternoon.

Set within 23 acres of beautiful gardens and parklands in the heart of Oxfordshire, Oaken Holt is a magnificent country estate in the peaceful village of Farmoor offering residential and nursing care of the very highest standard for up to 55 ladies and gentlemen.
