Rendlesham residents on ‘Her Majesty’s Secret Service’ for the day

The residents of Rendlesham Care Home in Suffolk were left shaken, not stirred recently by a 007 themed day to celebrate the release of the new Bond movie, including fancy dress and a range of activities.

Rendlesham Chef, Andrew, was James Bond for the day with Activities Coordinator Pearl playing the part of M. The residents were split for the morning into agents and ‘bad guys’, with the morning activity to eliminate all of the baddies. In the afternoon, theme tune singing and the traditional Bond cocktails took centre stage.

Located by Rendlesham Forest on the outskirts of the village, Rendlesham Care Centre is one of Caring Homes’ newest care homes in Suffolk, offering state of the art residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 60 elderly people.

The centre comprises three self-contained communities in one location, retaining a real sense of smaller scale homely living with the added benefit of easy adaptation to meet residents’ changing care needs. A highlight of the home is its ‘Forget Me Not’ garden, specially designed to provide a safe and stimulating environment for elderly residents living with a form of dementia.
