Remembrance Tea marks poignant day at Heffle Court

The residents and staff of Heffle Court came together to celebrate Remembrance Day and pay their respects to the many soldiers that sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.

Frank Smith (pictured) proudly wore his medals of honour during the home’s special Remembrance Tea, where the residents were joined by their family and friends.

The event was hosted as part of the Caring Homes ‘Charitable Partnership’ initiative for 2013/14, whereby each of the 56 care homes across the group are working together to raise thousands of pounds for their two chosen charities, Diabetes UK and Parkinson’s UK.

Located at the heart of Heathfield, Heffle Court is a care home providing specialist dementia care for up to 39 elderly people.
