Poppies at East Hill House

All last week the residents at East Hill House Care Home in Liss were very busy making a beautiful poppy display to mark Remembrance Sunday and the 100 year anniversary.

It gave the residents a chance to get involved to mark a day of importance to them and the opportunity to do some arts and craft activities, which is a great way to keep hands and minds busy while exercising stiff fingers and getting together in a friendly group. Getting involved in crafts can be a soothing outlet and it was great to see the residents express their creative side.

All residents took part and the end result is now hanging with pride in the Main Lounge. We also had 3 local nurseries that all kindly coloured in Poppies for our residents so we could hang them around the home as well.
