In the pink for the Race for Life at St Georges

Two members of the team at St George’s Care Home in Bristol got in the pink to raise funds for Cancer Research.

Kitchen assistant Jean Josham and administrator Nicki Green completed the Race for Life on a sunny July day and raised £150 for charity.

Well done Jean and Nicki!

Members of the team and residents were with them in spirit on the day cheering them on and were delighted when they came in and told them how it went. We are especially proud of the pair as neither is very sporty but they still took up the challenge in the name of charity.

They really wanted to help and make a difference to those who had lost a loved one or are living with cancer and thank all of those who sponsored them and helped to support such a worthy cause.

Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is a series of women-only events raising money for research into all 200 types of cancer. Every step they  make towards beating cancer relies on every pound donated and both Jean and Nicki were thrilled to contribute to this worthy cause.
