Paratroopers donate competition cakes to Rendlesham

Paratroopers from the Woodbridge Army Barracks showed off the results of their baking competition this week as they donated two Christmas cakes to Rendlesham care home in Suffolk.

The residents thoroughly enjoyed the chance to see the soldiers in their uniforms; whilst the Paratroopers spent time finding out about the residents’ loved ones that had also served in the armed forces.

Situated on the outskirts of the village of the same name, Rendlesham Care Centre is purpose built and provides nursing and dementia care for up to 60 elderly people.
