Official opening at Kingsclear by Caring Homes

Kingsclear Nursing Home by Caring Homes was officially opened this week with guests from the community sharing a festive afternoon to mark the occasion and £1,400 being made in charitable donations.

Surrey Heath Deputy Mayor Dan Adams cut the official opening ribbon along with Caring Homes founding director Helena Jeffery and Kingsclear’s first resident Karen Machers, who moved into home in September.

More than 60 guests attended the event including representatives from four local charities which received a charitable donation to mark the opening of the home and the building of lasting relationships with the community

Helena said;
“It is wonderful to see everyone here to celebrate the opening of the new Kingsclear. This home has always had a reputation for good care, which will continue as will the excellent engagement with the Camberley community.”

Guests enjoyed festive food and drink plus music from Camberley and District Silver Band. The four charities which Kingsclear is supporting are:

Camberley Rotary- £500.
Kingsclear has already been building up a relationship with the local Rotary group which is a key charity in the area.

St Mary’s Nursery – £500.
The Nursery has been given the opportunity by Surrey Heath Borough Council to secure a new site in Watchett’s Park as its new facility. The donation will be used to buy toys and equipment.

Camberley Care Trust – £200.
Camberley Care provides elderly, disabled and vulnerable members of the community with the practical help they need to live safely and independently in their own homes.
