Oaken Holt Residents Visit Millets Farm
Residents of Oaken Holt Nursing and Residential Home in Farmoor paid a visit to Millets farm last month. Millets farm is in Frilford, Abingdon and has been run by the Carter family since 1952. It has over 500 acres of farmland and is committed to their farming heritage.
Residents were able to look round the garden centre and take a stroll along the walkway, as well as see the farm and all the Christmas lights on the interior and exterior. Time was made for a cup of hot chocolate whilst on the outing.
Many of our residents like to venture outdoors and go out on day trips. This can be a great way to socialise with other residents, stay mobile with a gentle walk and get some fresh air and have a change of scene.
The residents had lots of fun and are looking forward for more outings to come in the New Year.
