Oaken Holt enjoy Fireworks

Residents, families and the care team at Oaken Holt care home with nursing in Farmoor enjoyed a bonfire celebration this week.

The children of relatives and staff dressed up in scary costumes for a competition, and the zombie won. Everyone ventured inside and enjoyed a glass of bubbly or sherry before enjoying the display. Many of the residents hadn’t seen fireworks for many years and were impressed with the show. Deb and Eva had decorated the foyer with spiders webs, spiders and pumpkins.

Everyone gathered together in the grounds to watch the fireworks whilst enjoying some hot treats such as hot dogs and soup,. This was followed by some Halloween biscuits and cupcakes as it was only a few days before and we wanted to all celebrate together.
