Annette is one of the residents at Mill House in Chipping Campden who is making a ‘The fun we had while missing you’ scrapbook. The books are worked on regularly with the Wellbeing team
and will be a wonderful way, after the Covid 19 outbreak is over, for families
to see how much fun their loved one had and how well they were cared for.
Hospitality and Activities Manager Paul Dixon explained, “We “secretly”
contacted all family members and asked them to send in three photos to get
every residents’ book started.
turned out to be a great idea as when we started scrapbooking, the residents
were extremely enthusiastic as the first pictures in the book were of their
now email families a list, so one week we might ask for a holiday picture,
another week a picture of a big family event. This means the book has a dual
purpose, it has many of the things we have been doing with the residents, but
also pictures of their loved ones who are not able to visit at the moment.
books will be a wonderful way, after the crisis is over, for families to see
how much fun their loved one had and how well they were cared for. They also
start off a lot of reminiscence and conversation when we are scrapbooking,”
Can you beat this? - A Mill House resident celebrated their 108th birthday this week. Is this our oldest Caring Homes’ resident?
