Marchglen trio head for the bright lights of Glasgow

Staff and residents from Marchglen Care Home headed for the bright lights of Glasgow this week for a special night at one of the city’s most popular nightclubs.

A number of the residents had expressed a wish to visit a nightclub and meet new people, so the staff put the wheels in motion and got in touch with ‘Dates and Mates’, who run a regular disco night at the famous Arches in Glasgow.

Karen Hepburn, Hollie Sutherland and Carolyn Rutherford danced the night away, with DJs from Capital Radio spinning the tunes until midnight. The group were joined by staff members Scott, Marisia and Rhianan, who also enjoyed the atmosphere and had a great night out.

Marchglen Care Home is an innovative collection of four houses providing a range of specialist care and forming a unique community on the outskirts of Fishcross. The state of the art facility supports up to 36 people including those with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and acquired brain injuries.
