Making good progress at Riverside Place

Riverside Place, Ware will soon reach a new milestone with a topping out ceremony planned to signify the final stages of building.

Overlooking the River Lea, Riverside Place is a 72 bed, purpose-built home designed to meet existing and future demand for residential, nursing and dementia care in the Hertfordshire town.

Building is being carried out at the Plaxton Way site by contractors Dalton Homes, who constructed Caring Homes’ Belmont House in Sutton which opened in July 2016. Riverside Place is a four-storey modern building due to open in 2018 with eye-catching design details include a large glazed entrance, irregular roof line and balconies to provide additional external space for residents.

Many ground floor bedrooms and communal spaces will have direct access to the gardens and there is a courtyard roof terrace offering additional green space to enjoy the outdoors. These photos show the views from the top of Riverside Place which will house the rooftop terrace and function suite.

Caring Homes Group Founding Director Helena Jeffery will perform the traditional topping out ceremony with other members of the Caring Homes and Dalton Homes teams in early September.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely
