Magna Care Centre residents mix it with the millionaires at Sandbanks

With Sandbanks just a stones throw away, the residents of Magna Care Centre are always keen to make the short trip to the coast whenever the opportunity arises. As such, a small group of residents took advantage of the fabulous weather this week to head down to the town fondly known as ‘Britain’s Monte Carlo’.

The group had planned to catch the chain ferry to Studland beach, but unfortunately the Barfleur ferry had somehow managed to catch one of the chains under the sea and snap it, rendering the chain ferry useless.

It did however mean that they were able make the most of the famous Sandbanks hospitality amid a lovely cooling breeze on what proved to be an extremely hot day.

Following afternoon tea at one of the cafes, the group took a short stroll along the prom, taking in the picturesque view from a convenient bench, before making their way back to the minibus hot, tired, but happy!
Situated in the picturesque village of Canford Magna near Wimborne, the Magna Care Centre provides residential and specialist nursing care for up to 65 elderly people.
