Magna Care Centre have an Eggs-cellent Easter

Magna Care Centre in Wimborne celebrated an eggs-cellent Easter with a variety of themed activities at our home during April.

One of our popular activities was an Easter egg decorating competition during one of our morning arts and crafts sessions.

With great gusto, our residents got their glue sticks and glitter at the ready, unleashed their creativity and set to choosing their decorations for their eggs. There were some amazing eggs and we knew the competition to win the first prize would be hard to judge.

To be completely impartial, we did not name the residents eggs and our team members judged the beautifully crafted creations not knowing whose was whose.

Following much debate, we are proud to announce Leonora (pictured) as the winner and she was absolutely thrilled to win the competition.

We also held lots of different Easter related games which the residents very much enjoyed and on the last week of April, we also held a ‘Easter Trip Week’ which was jam packed with lots of outings to various local attractions accompanied with tea and cake!

We enjoyed mornings and afternoons at the local beach, garden centres, a Mill and Country Parks, as well as general sightseeing to name just a few and it was worth every bit to see the residents loving being out and about in the local area.

In the up and coming month of May we have lots planned as well. We’re always looking for fresh and interesting activities and we won’t disappoint. We are looking forward to welcoming a ukulele player and a visit from Bonmarché clothing store, as well as our wonderful Nick Sellers who entertains with his wonderful singing and witty sense of humour. We can’t wait!

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely
