Mad Hatter mayhem at Firtree House Open Day

Firtree House care home threw its doors open to the public recently for a Mad Hatter’s tea party in support of National Care Home Open Day (NCHOD).
The St James Road home, part of the Caring Homes group, used the event as an opportunity to get to know the local community further through hosting the colourful event.
The staff and residents were joined by members of the local community and were treated to live entertainment from the ever-popular ‘Jasmin’ singing old classics such as Lipstick on your Collar and Danny Boy.

The Firtree staff team certainly got into the spirit of the event, dressing up as characters including the Red Queen, Alice in Wonderland, the White Rabbit and the Cheshire Cat.

Situated in an attractive residential area of Royal Tunbridge Wells, Firtree House has provided nursing care for up to 42 elderly people for over 50 years. The home is run by the family-owned Caring Homes Group, which was founded in 1994 by mother and son team, Helena and Paul Jeffery.
