“Miranda House was amazing. They saw us within less than an hour of our phone call. The staff (everyone) have been amazing. We were reassured and nothing seemed too much trouble. My mother in law had never been parted from her husband (66 years married) but she knows he is getting the best care and he is safe, well and happy. The people are so so kind and it’s a pleasure to visit the home.”

“My mother has been at Miranda House since 2012, at that time she was able to do much more. Went out on the mini bus to garden centre’s and sometimes to the seaside and lunches she likes the music and playing bingo. It is always clean and staff are always there to help.”

At Miranda House we provide residential dementia and nursing dementia for up to 65 elderly people and were rated ‘Good’ in our latest CQC report. We continuously improve the lives of our residents through offering wide ranging activities and events both in and outside of the home, involving members of the local community as often as possible.

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.
