Louisa Celebrates 100 at Kippington

Kippington resident Louisa celebrated her 100th Birthday on 6th March 2016.

Having received the official letter of congratulation and special birthday card from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Louisa entertained a visit from family members.

A celebration party for the residents was also organised, with special 100th birthday banners and colourful bunting, some Bucks Fizz to drink, and plenty of savoury and sweet finger foods.

Louisa remains mobile with a zimmer frame, and was walked into the celebration as everyone sang Happy Birthday. She was seated as the guest of honour, and her 100th Birthday Cake was presented to her. Thankfully, she was not called upon to blow out 100 candles! Party music was then played, and the party began.

Louisa enjoyed the celebration food and drink quietly, and with the dignity expected of a 100 year old lady before retiring back to her room with memories of a very special and unique day in her life.
