Mill House Celebrates Ladies Day at Cheltenham

Residents at Mill House took part in a local annual event, Racecourse Cheltenham Festival, which is organised every year in March. This year we decided to bring the event into our home so all our residents could enjoy.

Our ladies had a chance to have a makeover, get all dressed up, don their hats, jewellery and make up. They all looked absolutely fabulous.

Dave, our entertainer set the big screen up so we could all watch the racing and place a bet with a prize for the winner. Dave also played music so everyone could join in with a sing-a-long.

Roger, Activities Organiser and part of our Care Team, took the opportunity to dance with Edith and they showed off their dancing skills.

We all enjoyed a glass of sherry, followed by tea, coffee and a piece of delicious homemade cake baked by our Chef.

Dominika Soboczynska, Activities Co-ordinator said

“We had a wonderful day full of singing, dancing and lots of laughter. The ladies enjoyed dressing up in their finery and we will definitely do this again. We had such fun and our residents are eagerly looking forward to our next event.”
