Knowle Park get into the festive spirit

Christmas was a busy time for the residents of Knowle Park in Cranleigh, with plenty of exciting festive events going on in the home.

On December 18th the home hosted their annual Christmas tea party for residents and relatives to come together to celebrate the ‘most wonderful time of the year’. Entertainer Tommy Parsons sung lots of Christmas carols and got everyone joining in and in the mood to eat, drink and be merry. The Knowle Park chefs put together a fantastic buffet for everyone to enjoy and a lively raffle took place with some excellent prizes up for grabs.

Home manager Athena Stevens said “Seeing family and friends get together laughing and singing along was a great sight to see, we even had some of the care team getting involved to spread the Christmas cheer.”

Later on in December, five residents and members of the care team including the home manager, clinical lead, the homes bus driver and administrator went out to Cranleigh Golf Club. A delicious three course meal was enjoyed by all, washed down with wine and fruit juice. It was a peaceful afternoon where there was a lot of chatter going around the table and all of the residents who came enjoyed going out for a nice Christmas lunch.

Home manager Athena Stevens said “Christmas is really important to us at Knowle Park and we know that everyone has memories associated to this time of year. For me it was personally very special to see our residents enjoying themselves immensely and discussing childhood memories of Christmas time.”
