Kippington residents keep the FUN in fundraising

The staff and residents of Kippington care home threw the doors open to the community once again recently as they hosted a colourful ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ in aid of Parkinson’s UK.

The party was held as part of the Caring Homes ‘Charitable Partnership’ initiative for 2013/14, whereby each of the 56 care homes across the group are working together to raise thousands of pounds for their two chosen charities, Parkinson’s UK and Diabetes UK.

Many people from the local community joined staff and residents for tea and cake in the garden, with entertainment including croquet, quoits, live music and chess. The event raised over £120 in total, which the members of the local Parkinson’s group in attendance were thrilled with.

Situated close to the historic town of Sevenoaks, Kippington is a grand care home providing residential and specialist nursing care for up to 52 elderly people.
