Jingle Bells at Coxhill Manor

At Coxhill Manor Nursing Home in Woking, we were delighted to welcome the St Lawrence Chobham Handbell Ringers who treated us to the delights of a Christmas bell ringing performance.

The acoustics in the conservatory are perfect for bell ringing and we were all mesmerised by the beautiful sounds and of course, some favourite Christmas tunes. Their performance was so beautiful and we all certainly appreciated the amazing hard work the ringers put in to make their show faultless.

They have a lot of history as the bells used by the St Lawrence bell ringers are over 100 years old and were cast in the same foundry as Big Ben! They have been used by the St Lawrence Chobham Handbell Ringers since 2002, but the St Lawrence group has been ringing for many more years than that. It was founded by Alan Collings in 1976 and has a strong tradition of raising money for children’s charities.  Find out more…

At Coxhill Manor, we are very involved with our local community and we are proud to support such a worthwhile group, who not only brings joy and happiness to their listeners but contribute to such worthy causes including the Children’s Society, the Chase Children’s Hospice and many more.

Here’s to many more years of the St Lawrence Chobham Handbell Ringers ringing their bells at Coxhill Manor!

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely
