In memory of Ken at Coxhill Manor

This week Coxhill Manor in Woking celebrated resident Ken.

Philip took great pride in helping plant a beautiful Cherry Tree in remembrance of his dear friend and fellow resident Ken.  Philip and Ken became great friends during their time together at Coxhill Manor – and were always causing laughter and mischief – in fact they were nicknamed ‘The Chuckle Brothers’!  In Ken’s last days Philip took time to sit with him at his bedside, so planting this tree in the front garden of the manor home they shared meant a lot to him.

With assistance from our SMO’s Neil and Ammandio and a supportive pat on the back from our manager Alan, Philip shoveled the dirt around the base of the tree while reminiscing on the good times he shared with his friend. A few short, sweet but meaningful words were uttered and there were smiles all around. It was a beautiful moment.

The tree will continue to grow bigger and stronger and is a beautiful reminder for us all of our dear friend and resident Ken. Always in our hearts.
