Hulcotts forever blowing bubbles

The residents at Hulcott Nursing Home in Aylesbury enjoyed a competition this week.

The old song ‘I’m forever blowing bubbles’ took a different turn when the residents had a bubble blowing competition. It was amazing fun and really bought the residents together.

Engaging in friendly competition keeps the mind active, encourages strategic thinking, and boosts the mood. It can even be good for releasing tension and easing stress. We tried to see who could blow the largest bubble, the longest-lasting bubble, and the most bubbles in one  stream. We also made it active by seeing how many bubbles each resident and care team member could catch on their wand and how many they could all pop in a set time, trying to pop them all before they hit the ground.

Lillian made a good attempt – said it took her back to her childhood when she loved blowing bubbles in the air!!

Hulcott Nursing Home provides the highest standards of specialist nursing and residential care for up to 38 elderly people.
