Hulcott hosts Diabetes Awareness Day

As part of the Caring Homes Charitable partnership, Hulcott Care Home with Nursing invited friends and family to join them for a Diabetes Awareness Day at the 19th Century home.

To help people better understand Diabetes, one of Hulcott’s own Registered Nurses gave a fascinating talk on the benefits of healthy eating and exercise with regard to the condition. Participants also had the opportunity to ask questions about the condition during an interactive Q & A session, before being invited to try Diabetes-friendly and traditionally made cakes with their afternoon tea, to see if they could taste the difference.

Food remained the topic of conversation for the rest of the afternoon as the residents shared their culinary likes and dislikes.

Located in the peaceful village of Hulcott itself, the home is a 19th Century house providing residential and specialist nursing care for up to 38 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
