Home of Compassion’s Summer Garden Party

At the Home of Compassion in Thames Ditton the sun was shining, the drinks were flowing and the afternoon was serenaded by the River City Saxes, a quartet of saxophones whose notes trickled amongst the friends and family who gathered for our Summer Garden Party.  Although games were laid out in the activity room and lawns, many just enjoyed this glorious afternoon catching up with loved ones and chatting with familiar and new faces.

A half hearted tango was played out by a couple of staff members in the bistro with an ex-dancing resident giving guidance on sloppy foot placement and praising lowered shoulders.

Having such luxurious grounds makes it easy to enjoy the river, the views and the stunning building we are lucky enough to reside in.

Chef did us proud with a stunning array of afternoon tea specialities and the homemade scones were first to be snaffled by the hungry hordes.

Here are a few photos of our residents enjoying the sun and fun.

Home of Compassion is dedicated to providing the highest level of residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 71 elderly residents. The luxurious care home is set in delightful surroundings in the heart of Thames Ditton, with beautiful views over the river.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely

Paul Jeffery – Chief Executive Officer

Frank Cummins – Clinical Director
