Home of Compassion shortlisted for Best Kept Garden of the Year award

Home of Compassion in Thames Ditton, Surrey, was shortlisted for the best kept garden title at the Caring Homes Group Recognition Awards.

With more than 5,500 employees across the group and more than 140 homes and services Home of Compassion beat off stiff competition to be shortlisted for the Best Kept Garden of the Year award.

The awards were presented at a glittering ceremony hosted at the Grove Hotel in Watford and presented by musician and singer Ronan Keating.

Following a review of over 3,000 nominations received from colleagues and people supported for the awards, Home of Compassion was nominated for its gardens.

Home of Compassion is dedicated to providing the highest level of residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 71 elderly residents. This luxurious care home is set in delightful surroundings in the heart of Thames Ditton, with beautiful views over the river.

The judges shared the views of one nomination which stated; “Home of Compassion gardens have been utilised by residents in all seasons since the home opened. The outlook over the river Thames has provided endless enjoyment for the residents and the garden is easily accessible for all.”

Attended by over 340 guests the evening was a great occasion, with colleagues and business partners coming together to celebrate the very best care and support provided by outstanding people.
