Home of Compassion is a finalist for prestigious Pinders Healthcare Design Award

Caring Homes’ flagship care home, Home of Compassion, has been shortlisted for a Pinders Healthcare Design Award 2017. The luxury home in Thames Ditton, Surrey, is among just 14 finalists in line for one of the sought-after accolades.

Home of Compassion, an 18th Century Grade II* listed mansion has been painstakingly restored to its former glory by Caring Homes. Completed in May 2016, it now offers residential nursing and dementia care to 78 residents in the Main House, converted Chapel and Priory and newly built East Wing.

Pinders has been at the forefront of the appraisal and valuation of care businesses for the past 30 years. Their expertise in the field is recognised not only in the healthcare sector but by local and central government.

The Pinders Healthcare Design Awards recognise the very best developments in all types of care-related property. They highlight the contribution by home owners, designers and architects to the wellbeing and quality of life for those in their care and are acknowledged in the industry as a pinnacle of achievement.

Having seen an extensive award entry which included detailed information on the restoration project, its design objectives and how these were achieved, judges will be visiting Home of Compassion in January to see the home for themselves. They are looking to reward quality of care, achieved through quality of design.

Caring Homes receives a finalist trophy and £500 for our nominated charity, MacMillan. Winners will be announced on 15th March 2017.
