Harvest Festival Season at Heffle Court

Residents and Staff from Heffle Court celebrated Harvest Festival season in style this year as they attended not one but two celebrations, with invitations from both the local preschool and St Richards Parish Church.

Manager Debbie Potter, Administrator Roselyn Rhyan and resident Janet Kenwood were all kindly invited to join the children of St Richards Preschool in Heathfield. The enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the school and were presented with a harvest hamper full of goodies to take back for the residents at Heffle Court to enjoy.

A group of residents from the home were also invited to participate in the Harvest Festival celebrations at the local parish church of St Richards.

As part of the celebrations a selection of community groups, including Heffle Court, were set the challenge of producing a Harvest display which capture the essence of each organisation.

Over several activity sessions residents worked hard to produce a creative display for the home, which was filled with autumnal fruits and animals from the farm at Heffle Court. The display was set up in the church over the Harvest weekend along with the other community groups. The church then opened its doors to visitors over the weekend and welcomed them to share and enjoy the displays everyone had worked hard on.

After the weekend not only did the residents bring their display back to Heffle for everyone to enjoy, the 1st Heathfield Girl Guides also generously donated their display to the residents.
