Harvest Festival at Magna Care Centre

At Magna Care Centre we held our annual Harvest Festival celebrations here at our home in Wimborne, Dorset for our residents, team, friends and members of the local community.

We had a church service at 11am by our local church, the Canford Magna Church and people kindly donated food which will be distributed to Wimborne food bank for people in need of help. Wimborne Food Bank exists to help local people experiencing a short term crisis in their ability to afford food and is an initiative set up by local Wimborne churches, in partnership with Faithworks Wessex.

As we feel we are an integral part of our local community and to help those in need, all of us here at Magna Care Centre are proud to support and fundraise for local charities and initiatives such as these.

This was followed by a super buffet lunch in the main lounge.

After lunch we were entertained by The Pastimers who are a local duo that we have had here at the Magna Care Centre fairly often and they are a very welcome visiting entertainment group. The local singers are firm favourites amongst residents here and are often requested to come back and entertain us with their repertoire of classic tracks from bygone days, which we all thoroughly enjoy.

Magna Care Centre in Wimborne provides nursing and residential care for up to 64 elderly residents. Set in a stunning purpose-built home located in the village of Canford Magna, the home enjoys views over the beautiful local countryside.
