Harvest Festival at Walstead Place

Walstead Place care home in Lindfield held a colourful Harvest Festival service this week for staff, residents, friends and families, providing donations for the local food bank.

Residents, staff and family members gathered to kindly donate a range of food items as part of the annual festival service. The service was led by Mr Roger Scofield on behalf of All Saints Church in Lindfield, who told us:

‘We really enjoy this annual event at Walstead Place when we give thanks for our food and drink and sing the hymns we learned at Sunday school. The food donated by the staff, residents and relatives will be sent to the local food bank to help those in need in the local community. I would like to thank the staff and management of the home for their support with this event every year.’

Located just a mile from Lindfield, Walstead Place provides residential and nursing care for up to 41 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
