Gardening Club at Oaken Holt

At Oaken Holt we hold a regular Gardening Club, which is another club our residents really enjoy. At this time of year we cant get outside to plant just yet but we do like to prepare the bulbs for spring! Its a great club for the residents as many of them used to enjoy to tending to their own gardens, it gives them a chance to carry on with their past times and enjoy being with each other.

Charlotte,  Mary-Rose, Robin, Joan, Barbara and Joan all joined the gardening club to plant herb seeds ready to plant in the garden and also grow indoors.

While they were busy deciding which herbs to plant and what they could be used for, they also thought it would be a great idea to plant some sunflower seeds too, discussing if it would be a good idea to have a ‘tallest sunflower’ competition.

We look forward to the measure later this year!
