Garden centre trip for Coxhill

On a sunny morning in June Activity Coordinators David and Sarah from Coxhill Manor care home with nursing in Woking, took residents Billy and Phyllis on a visit to the local garden centre Squires. It has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment so the ladies were keen to see the new improved garden centre! They weren’t disappointed…

As all good mornings start, we began with a cup of coffee and a healthy portion of cake to provide us with the energy to have a look round.  The sun was shining and we enjoyed our refreshments in the new outdoor area of the cafe.   We then took a leisurely stroll around the centre to look at the wonderful and colourful selection that Squires has to offer. Stopping and smelling all our favourite flowers and herbs.

The ladies really enjoyed themselves and relished the chance to discuss future plans that we have at Coxhill to start a gardening club and grow our own vegetables and flowers.

Coxhill Manor, nursing and care home in Woking, provides residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 58 residents. The peaceful and secluded location is on the outskirts of Chobham, near Woking in Surrey.
