Galsworthy House residents experience a Victorian Christmas

Several of the Galsworthy House residents were transported back to Victorian times recently during a trip to Holly Lodge in Richmond Park.

The residents took part in a Victorian Christmas afternoon, which saw them decorating a classroom using the traditional festive fauna of Holly and Ivy, as well as adorning a fresh Christmas tree with slices of oranges, corn dolls and candles, in keeping with the period.

During the interactive afternoon, there was also a demonstration on how to make a Christmas pudding as well as a chance to make some Christmas crafts to take back to Galsworthy House.
Located on Kingston Hill overlooking Richmond Park, Galsworthy House provides residential and nursing care for up to 64 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
