Fundraising gives Beechwood Park gardens a makeover

Following a busy spring period at Beechwood Park Care Home, residents will be hoping the sun shines on Alloa this summer so that they can enjoy the newly developed gardens.

During March, three staff took on a 13 mile sponsored walk to raise £800 for a brand new summer house. This month, £670 has been added to the fund thanks to a highly successful bingo tea. The additional money will go towards further development of the garden area and the installation of new fencing.

Beechwood Park Activities Coordinator Fiona Lancaster said:

“Everyone here works hard to improve and maintain our facilities. We all enjoy the events, and the results enable everyone to have a happy stay here at Beechwood Park.”

Beechwood Park is a modern, purpose-built home, providing specialist nursing and dementia care for up to 61 elderly people. Beechwood Park is ideally equipped to provide nursing support for elderly people living with different types of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia and Korsacoff’s syndrome.
