Fun and fitness for a good cause at Bradbury House

In honour of this year’s Sports Relief day, the team at Bradbury House donned their finest fitness gear along with the official Sports Relief headbands.

Students from the local Alex Hunter Academy joined them for a day of fun and fitness as many of the residents, staff and visitors took part in a ‘friendly’ competition to see who could burn the most calories on the exercise bike. This was won by student Josh, although he was ‘by far the youngest and fittest’.

The residents also enjoyed a few games of table tennis with the students and as well as having a great time, they raised a total of £27 in the process through purchasing the Sports Relief balls and headbands.

Situated at the heart of the historic town of Braintree, Bradbury House was the very first home in the Caring Homes family and enjoys an enviable reputation for delivering the very highest standard of residential care in a homely environment for up to 21 elderly people.
