Flipping good fun at Hulcott

The residents of Hulcott care home near Aylesbury celebrated Shrove Tuesday in style with a traditional pancake tossing competition.

The staff and residents gathered in the communal lounge at the grand 19th Century home and took it in turns to have a go at flipping a pancake – although some contenstants showed slightly more skill than others, there was a friendly air of competition amongst the group.

There were pancakes flying everywhere, with some hitting the floor and even residents laps on some occasions; making some of the audience laugh so much they couldn’t flip their pancake at all when it came to their turn.

Located in the peaceful village of the same name, Hulcott is a 19th Century house providing residential and specialist nursing care for up to 38 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
