All Eyes Down at Magna Care Centre

Magna Care Centre in Wimborne just had to share this exciting news about our new (or rather old) original retro bingo machine that we will now be using for our popular bingo sessions at our home. So, from now on, it will be ‘all eyes down and looking for a ‘full house’ for our residents.

Following a kind donation from the family of one of our residents (pictured below), we rolled out the machine yesterday and got everyone ready with cards in hand and our caller in place.

It was indeed ‘a full house’ and the air was full of anticipation and lots of chatter before the game commenced. With phrases such ‘legs, eleven’, ‘two fat ladies; and ‘knock on the door’ the game began in earnest.

Our residents had so much fun playing bingo with this machine, it definitely added that extra element and brought a whole new twist to the game at our home.

They all agreed that it was great to have this machine as it brought back lots of memories from their younger bingo days and they all discussed games they had played in the past.

It proved so popular that we already have our residents asking when we’ll be getting it out again. We’re sure it is going to become a regular fixture on our varied activity schedule.

The Magna Care Centre is a stunning purpose-built Care Centre providing residential and specialist nursing care for up to 63 elderly residents.
