Easter Fun at Heffle Court

Residents at Heffle Court have been busy getting into the spirit of Easter creating Easter baskets & chocolate treats this week in their Arts and Crafts Club.

Arts and Crafts is a really popular activity here at Heffle Court and one which our residents keenly look forward to. The therapeutic benefits are very visible when you enter the room to see them all engaged, stimulated and working together. It also allows different abilities to get involved, have fun and encourages varying levels of mobility.

Samantha Lovelock, Activity Coordinator said

“We had such fun making our Easter themed baskets and chocolate goodies. I am not sure what they enjoyed most, making the chocolate treats or eating them but there was plenty to go around!”

As we know here at Heffle Court, Arts and Crafts is very beneficial for our residents. It is carried out in a fun and relaxing environment and we can see for ourselves the positive outcomes resulting from these type of activities. It engages our residents both cognitively and psychologically keeping them motivated, alert and encouraging a positive outlook on life.
