East Hill House residents enjoy seaside reminiscence
East Hill House enjoyed some ‘seaside reminiscence’ this week as the staff and residents spent time sorting through seashells, seaweed, sticks of rock and plenty of candyfloss.
The residents shared fond memories about going for picnics as youngsters and seaside trips they made with their own children some years later. Some of the residents who grew up by the sea also told tales about living by the seaside and some of the adventures they enjoyed as children.
The event was originally planned to take place in the gardens of the Hampshire home, but the thunderstorms unfortunately ensured that this was not possible. Nevertheless, the residents did not let the famous British weather spoil their ‘seaside afternoon.’
Located in the village of Liss, East Hill House provides high quality residential and specialist dementia care for up to 35 elderly people in a unique setting.
