Dru scoops ‘Sofi Award’ at Hulcott

Care Assistant Dru Ford was celebrating this week as she became the first member of staff to receive a new award at Hulcott Care Home with Nursing.

The ‘Sofi Award’ has been introduced at the Buckinghamshire home to recognise those members of staff who prove to be consistently outstanding in the way they care for the residents of Hulcott.

Sofi (Short Observational Framework for Inspection) was developed by the University of Bradford Dementia Group and looks at the mood and engagement of people using services and the quality of staff interactions.

Having only been at Hulcott for twelve months, Dru was delighted to be the first member of staff to be given the coveted award, which will only be presented twice each year.

Located in the peaceful village of the same name, Hulcott is a 19th Century house providing residential and nursing care for up to 38 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
