Dormy House hosts a Masquerade Ball

Dormy House residents in Sunningdale, Berkshire recently enjoyed a themed event at their home when they held a Masquerade Ball for their residents, families and friends.

Residents were involved in creating their own masks and choosing their costumes and there was great anticipation leading up to the event. Glue sticks at the ready, they all got involved in creating some marvellous masks and they all enjoyed getting together to make the event a success for all, residents and team alike. The home was decorated and the team dressed to impress too.

As you can see from the photos, they all looked fabulous. Glitter, sequins and the odd feather boa were the order of the day for the ladies. Even the gentlemen got involved and wore their own individually designed masks.

Lots of fun was had both before and during the ball. Even afterwards, this event sparked off lots of animated discussions and we are planning our next event here at the home. With the festive season looming, I’m sure there will be lots more laughter and enjoyment to be had here at Dormy House.

At Dormy House, we believe an active life is a happier and more fulfilling life and a key member of the care team is our Activities Lead. They work with our residents on a group and individual basis to ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate in activities that have real meaning for them. We encourage our residents to maintain the hobbies and interests they have built up over a lifetime but also to try new experiences as and when they wish.
