Dignity Day celebrations at Bradbury House

Bradbury House in Braintree welcomed the return of Dignity Day this February, Dignity Action Day #DAD2018 is an annual opportunity for health and social care workers, and members of the public to uphold people’s rights to dignity and provide a truly memorable day for people who use care services.

The care team and resident’s created the“ Dignity Tree”. The theme was “ What does dignity mean to you”? Each resident answered this question on a leaf and added it to the tree, it was a way for staff, residents and visitors all to discuss the subject and to remind ourselves of all of our differences and values.

It was a lovely day and the display has been left up as a reminder for all to see, as to why dignity is so important.

Bradbury House provides residential care in a 17th Century converted building for up to 20 elderly people.
