Digni-Tea Party at Tall Trees

The residents and members of our team at Tall Trees care home in Shipton-under-Wychwood all gathered together this afternoon at our ‘Digni-Tea’ event to celebrate and promote dignity in our home.

We enjoyed cakes, tea and coffee and held a raffle with some great prizes. Caroline Torr, our Dignity Champion talked with the residents, relatives and the team about dignity and what is the best way to promote it in our home.

Everyone enjoyed the refreshments, especially the cake and we were all excited about the raffle and who was holding the winning ticket. There were so many prizes that in the end, almost everyone had the chance to win something, so everyone was a winner

Moira A., one of our residents said:
“It’s been an unexpected surprise. It’s been a lovely afternoon. Thank you very much for doing this for us”.

Everyone had a great afternoon and we are looking forward to doing this again.

Tall Trees are very proud to support the National Dignity Council’s work and encourage team members to become Dignity Champions. A Dignity Champion is someone who believes passionately that being treated with dignity is a basic human right, not an optional extra and we feel our team display this every day and in so many different ways.

Led by the National Dignity Council, Dignity Champions form part of a nationwide network of over 83,000 individuals and organisations who work to put dignity and respect at the heart of UK care services to enable a positive experience of care. If you would like to find out more, click here.
